The Sine for Outlook add-in provides an easier way to manage invitations directly from Microsoft Outlook. Removing additional confirmation steps and streamlining the process for staff across your organisation.

To access this add-in, you will require a Sine Enterprise plan for your site.

How to install the Sine for Outlook add-in

Install the add-in from the app store

  1. In your Outlook inbox, look for “Get Add-ins” in the toolbar.

  2. In the new window that opens, search for “Sine” in the top right corner.

  3. Click “Add” on the Sine for Outlook add-in.

Creating an invite in the Sine for Outlook add-in

To get started, open the Outlook application and navigate to your calendar. If you have multiple calendars, ensure you are in the one linked to your Sine host email address.

Create an event as you normally would, entering the date, time, event name—then add your attendees.

Once your basic details are entered, select the Sine add-in from the toolbar.

Note: If this is your first time launching the add-in you will be prompted to log in using your Sine credentials.

To create your invitation, select the Site and Visitor Type. Then, you will be prompted to enter the First and Last Name.

Finally, there is the option to add a note to the invite. These notes are internal only and appear on the dashboard for Sine users, they are not visible to the invitee.

When you are ready to send your invite, click Create Invitation.

Editing an invite with the add-in

If you make any updates to your Outlook event, you will need to ensure these are reflected in the Sine for Outlook add-in too. For example, changing the time of the event, will not automatically update the time for the invitation in Sine.

To update an invite, launch the add-in from the event edit view in Outlook. You will then be able to make sure your changes to the event are reflected in the Sine add-in, before selecting Update to confirm these.
