Hosts can receive notifications whenever a guest checks-in to see them. The enable hosts setting is required to be switched On in order to use the Check-in Approvals and to also allow the Hide Hosts Directory feature to be used.

Enabling host selection

To enable host selection for visitors:

  1. Click the locations button from the sidebar navigation

  2. Select your desired site

  3. Under the general settings tab, navigate to the hosts section and make sure the host setting is enabled and host selection is enabled for your desired visitor types.

Note: The Enable Hosts setting is required to be switched On in order to use both the Check-in Approvals mode and the Hide Hosts Directory to be used.

Host notifications

Host can receive notifications of guests checking in to see them in a few ways:

  • Email notification sent to the hosts email address

  • SMS notification

  • Push notification (SinePro only)

Note: SMS notifications are only available to select customers, please use the chat bubble in the dashboard or contact [email protected] if you would like access to SMS host notifications.

Host check-in review

Using the host check-in review setting, visitor types can also be configured in a way that requires hosts to review their guests check-in requests before they are checked in.

The following host check-in review behaviours are available:

  • Auto-approve: Auto-approve check-in requests without any host review

  • Host review: Always notify and ask a host to review a check-in request

  • No invitation, host review: Only ask a host to review a check-in request if the visitor doesn't have a valid invitation.

Note: If the invitation required site setting is off, 'No invitation, host review' will initiate a check-in review for visitors without an invitation; visitors with an invitation will be automatically approved.
