What is Sine Active Directory Sync plugin?

Sine’s Active Directory Sync is a plugin that allows organisations to synchronise their Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Microsoft AAD) group members to Sine Host groups. The synchronisation is an automatic process and occurs at 11:00 Adelaide, Australia time every day.

Read the FAQ: Sine Active Directory Sync plugin for details on subscription and other general queries.

How to access the Since Active Directory Plugin?

Note: These steps are to be carried out when the plugin has been enabled.
Read the FAQ: Sine Active Directory Sync plugin for details on getting the Sine Active Directory plugin enabled.

  1. Log in to Sine Core, using your Sine Team Admin credentials

  2. Select the Admin Dashboard icon. Note: Contact Sine Support if you do not see this icon.

  3. The Active Directory Sync plugin is displayed.

What is consent?

Consent is the process of a user granting authorisation to an application to access protected resources. In our case, Sine requires access to read the various user profiles created in Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD).

Support for Multi-tenancy

Sine Active Directory Sync plugin supports Multi-tenancy. This means you can create separate Active Directory Sync tasks via the Plugins page in the Admin Dashboard for different tenants that have different Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Microsoft AAD) instances but are all part of same Sine Team. When set up, the Active Sync tasks will be carried out approximately at 11:00 Adelaide, Australia time daily.
