We currently support two badge styles: default and access badges. This article will review how you can make changes to your default and access badges.
First, both badge styles are available to all customer plans. However, you may not want/need to use the access badge style unless you've purchased access control integration as part of your subscription. This article will talk about the differences.
To find your sites' badge styles, navigate to Locations > Site Settings > Printing.
Default Style Badge
As mentioned above, by default every customer should see the Default and Access badge styles. Click the edit pencil to open the default badge configuration modal:
From inside the edit modal, you can show or hide different items based on your desire to print that information. You can show/hide:
Profile photo
Company name
Site logo
You can also add additional information to a pass:
Host name or Display name
Custom text up to 2 lines
When these items are enabled, but the information is missing from the visitor's check-in the badge layout of information automatically scales responsively, as pictured below:
Before you click save, you can preview your badge. This preview shows all information that could possible be shown.
Access Style Badge
The objective of the access badge style is to improve the readability of the badge for QR readers. This badge style intentionally reduces the noise around a QR code, therefore has less options to show/hide on the style. This badge style is also a vertical badge instead of horizontal.
From inside the edit modal, you can show or hide:
Company name
Site logo
You can also optionally pick:
Host name or Display name
As with the default style, you can preview your access badge:
For access control integration customers, make sure to navigate to your access control integration configuration setup and select the badge style you'd like to use. By default, new access control integrations will use the access badge style.
